I know, it's a long title and they're not even my words.

If you're worried this is going to be a post all about John Boy, then you're going to be disappointed, or not.

No, it's not about JB, but Richard Thomas - the fine actor who played him.

But there's more to him than his role in The Waltons - RT has an impressive CV. He began performing as a child and had appeared in classics such as Bonanza and Marcus Welby MD - all before he was adopted by The Waltons.

He's also made a fine living from TV movies - in fact he still does.

For many he will always be John Boy - and what's wrong with that?

Sigh all you like, John Boy's going to be a part of this blog for a very, very long time.
