It's all in the eyes

Just a short one today - I'm busy planning my escape from Norm - that nutter that ties me to my computer.

Over morning coffee I came across some stunning photos that are entered in the National Geographic Comp. As you'd expect, they're stunning - here's the link to the article I spotted.

My favourite has to be Bonobo Portrait. You can't look into that animal's eyes without acknowledging the emotion. The photo was taken at a zoo in Florida. What's behind those eyes? What is it thinking? In the article it says the chimp 'stares blankly at the camera'. That's not what I see. There's nothing blank about that expression.
