Every now and then I participate in a One Word Challenge - that's to write a piece of prose or poetry inspired by one word. That word is chosen by the previous month's winner.

In October the word chosen was Closure. Here's my winning entry...

She recalled Rachel
A drunken night
The truth dawned
Slowly appearing
Her chest was clear
Her conscience smooth
Rage vented, spent
Lips of lust turned
Twisting the truth
Finally released
She had her closure

No, I don't know why it won either. Obviously it was inspired by the episode of Friends where Rachel finally gets 'closure' on her feelings for Ross.
