As children how many of us were given comics as a special treat?
Twinkle, Beano, Jackie and Bunty were just some of those marvellous comics we grew up with. We associate them with good memories, of innocence and it's little wonder that we yearn to recapture those feelings.
Flick through the offerings on Ebay and for a certain price we can buy back our memories. Most comics produced an annual – often published in time for our Christmas stockings. We would treasure those books but as all children do, eventually discard them.
Those classics from the 70s change hands for small fortunes and the days of picking up a cheap copy at a car boot are possibly gone. But if you keep an eye out you can still find a copy of Jackie featuring either David Cassidy or Donny Osmond – who says you can’t buy happiness?
